Revolution Rock [2004]

keep cool now
stay rude now
i called the most beautiful girl in town - trial and error
we fixed a date in the bar around - trial and error
she showed up late - oh no
chatted up my friend - oh no
i had to pay
four years later i met this guy - trial and error
she’s so good and bad that he could die - trial and error
romantic trips - oh no
they’ve got four kids - oh no
an aeroplane - okay, quite fine today
keep cool now
stay rude now
go home
and pull yourself together
keep cool now
stay rude now
go home
and pull yourself together
i left the bar then straight away - trial and error
champagne had run out anyway - trial and error
i lost my key - oh no
slept up the tree - oh no
and then the rain
so i began to write this song - trial and error
to write a song can’t be so wrong - trial and error
my single’s out - oh no
one copy sold - oh no
bought be me - okay, flowing away
keep cool now
stay rude now
go home
and pull yourself together
keep cool now
stay rude now
go home
and pull yourself together
i can’t stand it any longer - trial and error
i’ll kill myself and it’s all over - trial and error
down the bridge - oh no
onto a ship - oh no
packed with gays - okay, oh happy days
keep cool now
stay rude now
go home
and pull yourself together
keep cool now
stay rude now
go home
and pull yourself together
keep cool now
stay rude now
go home
and pull yourself together
keep cool now
stay rude now
go home
and pull yourself together

my girlfriend left the other day
not a word to say she just went away
no big family did she want
two dogs and my friends in our house
now i don’t know why she didn’t like my lie
’bout mary and susan, or why?
my best friend left the other day
not a word to say he just went away
i trusted him like nobody else
leaned on him when things went wrong
now he’s off with my girl, my one and only pearl
gonna find me another one
my boss fired me the other day
not a word to say he just went away
now there are millions of jobs in this world
so just lean back and relax
it’s time to stay cool in this world full of rules
and one million dollar contracts

now we gotta be nice again
the party is over and me need to make friends
deep emotions instead of champagne
lend your brothers a hand till we are rich again
we didn’t mean to be so cold
when we were the rich and the bold
we surely had a heart for the poor
but we thought there were no poor anymore
now we gotta be nice again
the party is over and me need to make friends
deep emotions instead of champagne
lend your brothers a hand till we are rich again
the global player has responsibilities
for managers and their families
so when they fuck things up it’s understood
they still have money to burn and a nice neighbourhood
now we gotta be nice again
the party is over and me need to make friends
deep emotions instead of champagne
lend your brothers a hand till we are rich again
now we gotta be nice again
the party is over and me need to make friends
deep emotions instead of champagne
lend your brothers a hand till we are rich again
now we wearing black sweaters instead of silk
and don’t light the cigars with 100 $ bills
we roll cigarettes with our bare hands
and try to sell our Porsches to our new good friends
now we gotta be nice again
the party is over and me need to make friends
deep emotions instead of champagne
lend your brothers a hand till we are rich again

i’m sitting on my balcony, got nothing to do
people are busy and so are you
while watching you i appreciate
how you clean your house and how you live your day
please come home - cause i love you
please come home - i never hurt you
the day you moved out i lost everything
please come home - i’ll keep waiting
when i discovered you, you beautiful flower
oberserving you get dressed gave me a shudder
to tell you which colour i like on you most
is my neverchanging dream but a white dead ghost
you’re my colour tv and my big movie screen
my vip seat across your bedroom window
when you’ve gone out, i’ll have a cup of tea
i know you will come back, will come back to me
please come home - cause i love you
please come home - i never hurt you
the day you moved out i lost everything
please come home - i’ll keeep waiting
early in the morning i hurry to the window
just to catch your face resting softly on your pillow
you wake up and wiggle to the bathroom
i wiggle too what a rocksteady groove
you’re my colour tv and my big movie screen
my vip seat across your bedroom window
when you’ve gone out, i’ll have a cup of tea
i know you will come back, you will come back to me
please come home - cause i love you
please come home - i never hurt you
the day you moved out i lost everything
please come home - i’ll keep waiting
please come home
please come home
never talked to you - now i lost everything
please come home - i’ll keep waiting

guess why i do what i’m doing here?
it’s dirty money
what do you work for what pays your beer?
it’s dirty money
bullets and heart-attacks say what for?
it’s dirty money
what makes a nice young girl a whore?
it’s dirty money
dirty money
dirty money
dirty money
it’s dirty money
what makes an old man young again?
it’s dirty money
what turns chinese leaders into good old friends?
it’s dirty money
why do people marry, work or kill?
it’s dirty money
what makes the world turn round and stand still?
it’s dirty money
dirty money
dirty money
dirty money
it’s dirty money
dirty money
dirty money

come on, baby
move on a little
and make me feel happy
maybe you like to stand up for your rights
in some dark corner squeezing your partner real tight
that’s alright
it’s alright
and if you please to sit on top
i’m pretty sure it won’t be no flop
that’s alright - that’s right, baby
it’s alright
so many positions, so much work to do
but for real happiness there’s only just one clue
do it right from the heart
right from the heart
and you’re do it right - she does some pretty lovin’
right from the heart
right from the heart
and you’re do it right
maybe you like to be bend down for a little while
and present your back doin’ it doggy style
that’s alright
it’s alright
maybe you like it tasty and you doin’ just fine
cause your favorite number is sixty-nine
that’s alright - it’s so good
it’s alright
so many positions, so much work to do
but for real happiness there’s only just one clue
do it right from the heart
right from the heart
and you’re do it right
right from the heart
right from the heart
and you’re do it right - come on baby
right from the heart
right from the heart
and you’re do it right
right from the heart

they know exactly what to say or do
to make you believe one and one is not two
but three or four or something in between
above your head there’s a sky so blue
but they keep tellin’ silly lies to you
until you think it might be as well as green
trust your eyes
believe your heart
maybe two can be only one
some people claim to know what’s right
light your own match in the night
light your own match in the night
check the stories very carefully
maybe even what your eyes can see
is what someone wants you to believe
check the date in the calender
maybe the rising of the sun and stars
depends on which channel you receive
trust your eyes
believe your heart
maybe two can be only one
some people claim to know what’s right
light your own match in the night
light your own match in the night
trust your eyes
believe your heart
maybe two can be only one
some people claim to know what’s right
light your own match in the night
light your own match in the night

after the show you showed up
you were a sight to see
dressed to kill, oh, what a thrill,
you behaved so scandelously
you knew about your value so very well
and the audience gave standing ovations
you could have made a grown man cry
when you started your heavy rotations
trudy - you really blew me out of my mind
trudy - thank god you’re the stylish kind
trudy - it’s too late for music inspiration
trudy - thanks for your ambitious presentation
you had so much style, you could hardly walk
you knew what it’s all about
you knew all the names, you learned by heart
you missed no chance to speak them out loud
besides these names you dropped a drink now and then
and we were paying attention
you weren’t promising at all what you couldn’t provide
some sense of humour and a little affection
trudy - you really blew me out of my mind
trudy - thank god you’re the stylish kind
trudy - it’s too late for music inspiration
trudy - thanks for your ambitious presentation
you were such a delight and the band was so tight
we were just about starting to fight
somebody said i was gay so i run away
hoping you didn’t find me impolite
you enjoyed the tiny signals and male brutality
the survival of the fittest
but no one gave in so you became the queen
of a tribe too drunk to quit this
trudy - it’s hard beeing adored by you
trudy - but no one’s looking better than you
trudy - at least at 4 a.m.
trudy - you’ve done the job to every man

i’m rushin, you’re duddlin
you sleep while i am working
in good times and bad times
i’m with you, without you
i’m peaceful, you’re snorring
you’re shouting, i’m praying
for fairness to tell the truth but...
i’m still watchin’ you
i’m still watchin’ you
i’m still watchin’ you
i’m still watchin’ you
i’m saving, you’re wasting
i buy what you are tasting
extravagance in memory
white socks to black panties
i’m breathing, you’re smoking
you’re burnin’ my curtain
to heaven and grateful death but...
i’m still watchin’ you
i’m still watchin’ you
i’m still watchin’ you
i’m still watchin’ you
you’re dreamin’, i’m killing
cause you smash what i’m building
all good things and bad things
we got through, goodbye you
i’m flying, you’re fallin’
you’re diving, i’m risin’
to silence and peacefulness but...
i’m still watchin’ you
i’m still watchin’ you
i’m still watchin’ you
i’m still watchin’ you

my girlfriend left the other night
no money no love she said, and she was right
cause if all the women only chose the rich
poverty would die out and that's about it
don't worry bout their tv shows
stupid audience, just grows and grows
but that ain't bad, cause baby note
in order to survive, learn from the cockroach
be positive
ain't no use in regretting it
be positive
don't be too interrogative
be positive
life is not a holiday trip
but for some of us, but for some of us
and if we freeze cause oil is tight
and we eat our kraut by candlelight
we still can rely on Formula 1
and i'm sure all the monstertrucks ? will run
be positive
ain't no use in regretting it
be positive
don't be too interrogative
be positive
life is not a holiday trip
but for some of us, but for some of us
be positive
ain't no use in regretting it
be positive
don't be too interrogative
be positive
life is not a holiday trip
but for some of us, but for some of us
if something crashes in your house today
don't you see it in a negative way
cause on this planet we're not meant to stay
and we're too many by far anyway
be positive
ain't no use in regretting it
be positive
don't be too interrogative
be positive
life is not a holiday trip
but for some of us, but for some of us
be positive
